Minneapolis Uptown Rotary held its annual "Benefit for Children" raffle on April 29, 2022.

Another successful "Benefit for Children" fundraiser is in the books for the Minneapolis Uptown Rotary club. This year's edition was held on April 29, 2022 and we raised roughly $12k to benefit local non-profits! We sold close to 550 tickets, and received a couple monetary donations as well.

The non-profits receiving the proceeds include Haiti Outreach, Ella Baker School, Joyce Uptown Foodshelf, Every Meal, and Ready, Set, Smile.

This year's raffle prizes were highlighted by a one week time share in Colorado, a Minneapolis theatre package, a Lacrosse, WI weekend spectacular, an International Falls fishing & fun package, and a Twin Cities sports package. A number of other winners took home museum tickets, gift cards to tap rooms, massage gift cards, sunglasses, and restaurant gift cards.

Big thanks goes to the organizing committee, led by Charmaine Dwyer, along with Magdeline Aagard, Guy Johnson, Dale Snyder, and Adam McIntyre-Barn. Treasurer Jim Myott was also immensely helpful in collecting and tracking the ticket sales and money. Uptown's club members also deserve credit for selling the raffle tickets, particularly past president Josh Hillger who once again led the ticket sales field by a wide margin!

Uptown Rotary's annual fundraiser started in 2009 and transitioned to a raffle in 2020 due to the pandemic.
